Incubation : Duration: chicken embryo: 7-10 days at 39C with humidity; tissue culture: 48 to 72 hours at 37C, 5% CO2 in air atmosphere is recommended

Comments : Growth rate markedly stimulated by increases in incubation temperature. Optimum temperature for growth in CE is 39C. Previously classified as C. psittaci; see Fukushi & Hirai (IJSB. 42: 306, 1992) for pecorum classification.
