Incubation : Temperature: 37.0℃ Duration: 3 days at 37C in PSP-36 cells (ATCCCRL-11171)
Effect : tumorigenicity: Cytopathic effects (degeneration, rounding, and clumping of cells) tumorigenicity: Presence of virus can be confirmed with conjugated monoclonal antibody.
Comments : This virus produces respiratory and reproductive disease in pigs. Strain is used for the production of vaccine against porcine respiratory and reproductive syndrome. Inoculate 2-3 day-old confluent monolayers with undiluted or 1:10 dilution of virus stock. After 1 hour add culture medium containing 2% FBS.
