Host Organism : SF-21 cells Spodoptera frugiperda IPLB-21; Trichopulsia ni TN-368
Effect : Yes, in vitro effects: Swelling of nuclei, cells round up and cell membrane appears wrinkled
Comments : Recombinant baculovirus contains a canine parvovirus gene coding for the production of VP-2 capsid protein. The CPV VP-2 protein is expressed when the virus is propagated in insect cells. The recombinant virus does NOT induce polyhedra in infected cells. Recombinant baculovirus incorporating sequences from pAc 6C2B23 (ATCC67682). Lacks polyhedrin production but produces immunogenic VP-2 which can protect canines against challenge with virulent canine parvovirus. [31531]
