Prepare medium anaerobically under N2. Adjust pH to 6.0 prior to autoclaving. Dispense medium into tubes containing 1-2 grams of powdered iron per 10 ml of medium. Autoclave a 105C for 30 minutes. Before use, add 0.5 ml of sterile reduced 10% NaHCO3 per 10 ml of medium. Final pH 7.2.
