PREPARATION:
(1)Put the minced beef and liver into the water
add HCl and pepsin in it
then stir.
(2)Digest the meat at 53-55 C for 22-24 hours; stir them every hour at the first 10 hours.
(3)Heat the supernatant to 80 C;add peptone; adjust the pH to 7.6-7.8; boil for 10 min.
(4)Add dextrin after filtration; distri-bute the broth in tubes; covered by paraffin oil
autoclave at 6lb for 20 min.
[note]Add the rusty iron filings about 1/10 volume of the broth
when used for cultivation of Clostridium novyi
